Pierre South Dakota

June 14, 2018
Mileage 52185

Drive from International Peace garden to Pierre SD is about 8 hours and 424 miles.
We left the campground at 8:45 were on our way after we made it through Customs as I explained in our last post. We stopped in Dunneith and Washburn, SD for gas and were back on the road soon after. We stopped at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive center and toured outside and some inside could have used more time here. We had lunch in the parking lot then back on the road. Sherry was using the phone to find camping and found a city campground at Pierre in Griffin Park right on the Missouri river. This was a fantastic campground electric and water with dump station and self check-in for $16 per night. We set up camp and then went to the Long Branch restaurant for supper. It was hot and we enjoyed the air-conditioning in the the RV.
