5 3 2013 Flight 93 Memorial

We are traveling to a Fiber Fest in Maryland more on this in a later blog. While driving along the highway in rural Pennsylvania Sherry spotted a sign for this memorial. This is the plane that was taken back by the passengers who saved untold lives during this terrorist attack. All perished in the landing as the plane hit the ground at a high speed and upside down. We honor these heroes.

This is reclaimed land from strip mining coal in the southern part of the state. They are planting lots of trees and the area feels peaceful. It is a somber place to visit because all these people died here.
